Omaha wedding photography and videography team
That's where our friendship comes in. We met through church and clicked right away. Somewhere between countless rom-coms, big dreams, and talking through pretty much every part of our lives, we became best friends.
Then we became a team.
Six years and 100+ weddings later, there's a shorthand between us that only comes from doing this side by side. We anticipate what the other needs, fill in the gaps and know how to get what we both need without making your wedding feel like one long photoshoot.
Basically, two brains working as one.
You don't just want a great photographer and a great videographer. You want two people who actually work together, not just alongside each other.

who we are shows up in the work
We pay attention to people. We know when you need direction, when you need a minute and when everyone should probably leave you alone for a second. The people and moments that matter aren't always the obvious ones.
We know to look for them.
We want our word to mean something. We're honest with our couples, we follow through on our promises, and we make decisions we can feel good about afterward. We want you to trust us because we've given you every reason to. And once we have that trust, we take very good care of it.
We are, admittedly, a little obsessive about getting it right. If the color feels off, we fix it. If the edit could be tighter, we keep making adjustments. If something is bothering us, there's basically no chance we're going to just let it go. Our standard is our standard, whether anyone else would notice the difference of not.
We have no interest in making the same wedding over and over again. Where's the fun in that? We work with what's actually in front of us, so your photos and film tell your story and nobody else's.

Kathrine made K&K her full-time work, a goal years in the making.
Our first full wedding season. Turns out, we were onto something.
A half-serious "wouldn't it be fun?" became a real business. K&K Photo + Film was born.
We met through church and very quickly became best friends and eventually, roommates.

Karissa had the entrepreneurship part figured out. The wedding part? Not so much. With a master's in business focused on entrepreneurship, she knew she wanted to build something of her own. What, exactly, was still TBD. Then she found film, and her music brain basically took over. She plays guitar and piano and will happily spend hours getting the music in a film exactly right. But what I notice most is how deeply she cares about people. She listens, she remembers, and she has a way of making you feel like what matters to you matters to her, too.

Kathrine has always been a wedding person. She was glued to Four Weddings and Say Yes to the Dress during what she calls the "golden years of TLC." She picked up her mom's camera in college, started photographing for her campus ministry, and kept getting better from there. Eventually, her love of weddings and talent for photography found each other. She notices everything, from the way the light is hitting to the tiny detail from the morning that shows up again six hours later. And that attention extends to people, too. She's the person who shows up, follows through, and somehow always has more to give.

"K&K are amazing at what they do but they are amazing people above that.
We want to get married again just to hang out with them. They felt like guests at the wedding, friends we had known our whole lives. They made pictures fun and fast and light and funny, they brought a level of personality and comfortability that made our family love them too.
